Curriculum Vitae

Maruška Vizek is a deputy director for research at the Institute of Economics Zagreb and a lecturer at Zagreb School of Economics and Management, where she teaches international economics, microeconomics and managerial economics.  She received her PhD in economic science in 2007 from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zagreb for the thesis “Financial integration of Central and eastern European Countries into European Union“. She authored more than thirty papers in peer-reviewed journals, out of which 13 in journals indexed in Web of Science (SSCI) bibliographic database.  In 2006 she received prestigious Marijan Hanžeković reward for the best research paper of the year. During her career she has also received research grants from the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Croatian Science Foundation, and Global Development Network in collaboration with CERGE-EI. Her research interests include international economics, applied macroeconomics, international finance, housing economics, monetary economics, and business cycles.
