Ivona Škreblin Kirbiš, PhD

Dr. Škreblin Kirbiš first joined the Zagreb School of Economics and Management in 2005 as a lecturer at the Management Department, where she teaches Social Psychology, Principles of Management, Human Resource Management and Leadership at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She earned her PhD from the University of Trieste in 2005 in the area of Social Psychology, under the mentorship of Dr. Robert A. Wicklund and with a scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Italy. She completed her undergraduate education in psychology in 2001 at the University of Rijeka, under a scholarship from the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Croatia. She spent one year on academic stay in Atlanta, Georgia, under a scholarship from the Georgia Rotary Student Program from 2000 to 2001. Dr. Škreblin Kirbiš also completed the one month International Faculty Development Program at IESE in Barcelona in 2006.

After completing her PhD studies, Dr. Škreblin Kirbiš worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Anthropology in Zagreb. She also has extensive experience in the area of market research, which she acquired as a survey conductor at Puls and Cema, and was also a member of an exploratory project on knowledge dissemination in bilateral economic cooperation, as part of a program of the Croatian Ministry of Commerce, Labour and Entrepreneurship. Her works have been presented and published as part of the sixth Enterprise in Transition Congress, in Croatia. Her scientific work on how competence effects the way in which people perceive themselves and their environment has been featured at international conferences in Croatia, Italy, and Norway. She has also translated one book in the area of management.

Dr. Škreblin Kirbiš was born in Rijeka, Croatia, in 1978, and has lived in Japan, the United States, Sri Lanka, and Italy. She has an active knowledge of English and Italian, and has a passive knowledge of French.
