Igor Matutinović, PhD

He graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade in Zagreb in 1980. In 1994 he earned his Master in Science at the Faculty of Economics, where he obtained his doctorate in 1999. He obtained his professional education at the University of British Columbia in Canada in 1998. Currently he is the director of the Center for GfK Market Research, the Croatian branch of a multinational group based in GfK Nϋrnberg.

In addition to his business career, he is engaged in scientific research in the field of environment and development and the application of complexity theory to the analysis of economic systems and business cycles. In these areas, he published a number of scientific and technical papers in Croatia and abroad. In addition to teaching at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, he teaches at the College of Sustainability and Environment, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Zagreb. He is an active participant in scientific conferences in Croatia and abroad, including the regular and the “Advanced Research Workshop on Energy” within the NATO program “Science for Peace and Security.”
